A busy weekend ahead…
Three runners on Friday. First to go will be Chandresh who goes down to the stalls for the 3 pm, 5 furlong 46-55 Handicap Stakes race at Wolverhampton – she is still seeking her first win despite her best efforts. Good luck to Manor Farm Stud and Philip Makin. Then onto Brighton where Bahamian Heights takes on the rest of the field in the 6 furlong 66-80 Handicap Stakes, he has been a little bit troublesome of late but we have been working hard with him here at home and will have the assistance of the extremely experienced Yarmy in the gate. George Downing gets the leg up for Mrs Morley and Mr and Mrs Rix. Finally to Haydock Park for this evenings racecard where we have Ornate in the 5 furlong Listed Achilles Stakes at 7.25 pm, we have no doubt Luke Morris will give him a great ride today and get the very best out of this lovely horse. Luke rides in the distinctive red silks of Cheveley Park Stud.
As usual the weather could play a part in the rest of the action over the weekend but for the moment we have confirmed the following on Saturday. 2 year old Chica La Habana makes her debut at Beverley in the 3.15 pm Hilary Needer Two Year Old Trophy Stakes for 2 year old fillies only. She is ready for action, fit and well and working well here at home. Adam Beschizza is on board for The Cool Silks Partnership. Then to Catterick where Peace Dreamer makes a quick return after just missing out at Yarmouth three weeks ago. Her race today is at 5.10 pm Median Auction Maiden Stakes over 6 furlongs. Tony Hamilton gets the leg up for the Hadida family. Finally over to Maisons-Lafitte for the Listed Prix Hampton at 7.30 pm where we have Sir Robert Cheval ready for action against the French horses, lets hope he makes the most of the long journey and comes back with a win. Good luck to Heart of the South Racing and their french jockey Christophe Soumillon.
Sundays runners….off to Nottingham with Huntsmans Close for the 76-95 Handicap Stakes race over 5 furlongs, he has the assistance of Yarmy at the gate and has been improving in leaps and bounds here at home. Phillip Makin rides for the Brook House group. Finally our last weekend runner is at The Curragh where we have Evil Spell who is down to run in the 6 furlong 3 year old fillies only TRM Ballyogan Stakes race at 3.55 pm. She is in good form and we are hopeful of a good performance from her. Colin Keane rides for Qatar Racing.
