RCR Round Up . . .

Since ISHVARA, GRISONS and ALJADY won last week, we have had BECKER and ISLE OF LISMORE win too, plus some very near misses with ROYAL APPOINTMENT and SWELL SONG.

We are sending out a steady stream of runners, whom all seem to racing in good form.  We have a quiet day today.  However tomorrow we have SICILIAN BELLE back in action having made her debut at Lingfield Park.  Sunday sees a busy day with LOTTIE MARIE, SWELL SONG and SWOOPER all bidding to come home with first prize.  Monday we are making the long trip to Ayr with ISHVARA in the Land O Burns Fillies Listed Stakes.

Next week will be interesting, as we see the return of the Sales!  Following lockdown all sales dates were put on hold.  We see the first horses breeze on Monday in Newmarket for the Tattersalls Craven and Ascot Breeze Up sales, amalgamated.  They will then sell at Tattersalls on Thursday, 25th June.  Breeze Up is always a fun and interesting way to purchase a two-year-old as they have been broken in, prepped to gallop and show themselves well on the racecourse.  Some very good winners have come out of these types of sales.  Just like PRINCE OF LIR whom we trained and won the Norfolk Stakes with at Royal Ascot in 2016 having been purchased from Goffs Doncaster breeze Up Sale.  He has since gone on to stand as a stallion in Ireland.  His first crop are now just starting to hit the tracks as two year olds.
