Goldream Wins!

2019 Outlook

As always, at the start of each season we set ourselves goals to beat the previous or best year tally in regards to number of winners and also prize money. 2019 will be no different, as an ambitious team we always strive for more and we want to get better and better as each season passes.

Over the past ten seasons we have seen our yard strengthen and become a force to be reckoned with. Since our first Group 1, Royal Ascot winner in 2011 we have been handed some wonderful individuals to go to war with. We have been extremely lucky in the support of our owners over the years and new clients that have joined us. We have had some fun and unforgettable days on the racetracks, in the UK and around the world. It is always a thrill and a privilege to have a horse compete on the biggest stages at key meetings during the season; something we strive to have and unearth year after year.

For 2019 we have some firm favourites in the older department to look forward again, to name but a few; ENCORE D’OR and GLOBAL APPLAUSE plus a string of new recruits that were sent to us from the Autumn 2018 Horses In Training sales. Pulling in to this group and out of the three-year-old division; we have plenty of exciting horses to race. .

The Three-Year-Olds is always a fascinating group; they are a complete mixture of proven, lightly raced and unraced. They will all progress this season to find their feet in their racing careers ahead of them. Plenty to be excited about in this age group for 2019 . . .

A nice group of around 25 yearlings joined us at the end of 2018 to make up our two-year-old string. These mainly came from the Yearling sales in Newmarket, Ascot, Doncaster and Keeneland! All have been broken in and are enjoying life learning the ropes daily in their groups. Ultimately we aim to assist our owners and new clients joining us to purchase racy looking individuals to have fun with in their first season. This age class looks to be exactly that. As we start to push some faster buttons the early ones will start to emerge during March and April. We then have the spring Breeze- Up sales at Doncaster, Ascot and Newmarket to enjoy sourcing precocious two-year-olds from. PRINCE OF LIR in 2016 was a prime example of the type that can be found!! Very exciting indeed!! . .

Plenty to follow from our stable for this 2019 season . . .

Fingers crossed for lots of turns in the winner’s enclosure! . . .
